Craftsbury Antiquarian Books specializes in mostly travel and scholarly books on Africa, Asia and the Middle East. This includes books on early exploration, history, military, sociology and culture, photography, archaeology, colonial rule or involvement, and art. We also have a general stock, mostly old (or odd) that focuses more on quality than quantity. We have been a proud member of the Vermont Antiquarian Booksellers Association for more than sixteen years.

I am also a bookbinder and member of the Guild of Bookworkers. I focus on the repair of old books so they are in better, or even exemplary, shape before being passed on to customers. I do not do repairs for others, but am happy to provide advice on what repairs might be needed, and where to find the right repair person.
In addition, each year I design and execute several fine bindings in full leather, which are for sale as works of art. Learn more. On rare occasions I will accept a commission to execute a fine binding for a customer.

I am delighted to discuss or look at your old books, and to buy those that fit my interests, or to advise you as needed.
