A bright, cheery green morocco leather binding, with hand marbled endpapers. Bright title KIM in gilt on the spine. Ten bright color leather circles suggestive of India on the boards ,each recessed. Photo available on request. Enclosed in a new slipcase, leather trimmed with green cloth top and bottom and handmade paper from India with elephants on the sides. A splendid binding of a very special book - the Great Game in India between Brits and Russians, and Kipling's tale of small boy's involvement, believed to be a bit autobiographical but, more important, the first modern spy novel. Not a first edition, but in fine condition inside and out. This copy has never been read, as the outer page edges had to be cut.
