Blue cloth hardback with a gilt title on the front and only a hint of edge wear. Inside, the original pamphlet, the title page some browned and a bit of foxing. Clean and tight hinges. A photo of Samuel Miles is inserted in the front; he was an artist and reporter at the trial for the Boston Herald. This murder was famous at the time because the accused was a Professor at Harvard. He was unable to extricate himself from debts to Parkman, which was his motive for killing Parkman. Nicely preserved, the paper block is not brittle.
