This copy looks like it arrived from the publisher yesterday, "as new", including the original price on the dustjacket. The Lindbergh's were famous from their aviation exploits, but this enormously popular book at the time of its publication cemented Anne Morrow Lindbergh's reputation as a woman's writer. Unknown at the time to the public, the subtext was that her marriage to Charles Lindbergh was falling apart. This copy is from her personal library, with a letter inserted attesting to that provenance. In addition, it is signed by her on the title page. Protected in a clear mylar jacket and a custom clamshell box. The cloth box has a blue leather title label with bright gilt title on the spine. The label flows onto the front cover of the box in a wave. A UNIQUE, VERY SPECIAL COPY. mImage available on request.
