Sackler Gallery at the Smithsonian publication., the Jeweler in question from Henri Vever, a Parisian fine jeweler of art nouveau, who turned to the Islamic arts. His superb collection is now in the Sackler and this book celebrates it. Pages 240. Bound in full yellow morocco leather with silk endbands and blue title letters on the spine. On the front board is an Iranian king, inspired by the plate on page 103. He has eyes of lapis lazuli stones looking askance during battle, a smoky blue turban of leather, raised nose and lips, and a mustache and beard of Arabian horsetail.
